On Friday, September 28th, the first institutional steering committee meeting took place, with more than twenty people present. The afternoon ended with a press conference and a working meeting for volunteer PE teachers of the local organizing committee.

François EDOM (Le Mans, Deputy Mayor): “Ultimate is an unknown sport but it is a real show with a very good sporting spirit. Le Mans will commit a lot with the department and the region to give to the delegations the best welcome and a great competition !”

Daniel COUDREUSE (Pays de la Loire, Regional Council) : “I would like to thank the UNSS for having the idea to organize an international event like this. It will be an unforgettable opportunity for all players to exchange, and for all young students who will help the local organizing committee too!”

Véronique RIVRON (Sarthe, Departmental Council) : “The Sarthe Department helps every big sport event. This one will be an example for mixed gender sports and young volunteer educational programs. We will do the maximum so that foreign leave with great memories of their stay in our home!”

Volker BERNARDI (World Flying Disc Federation, Executive Director) talked to all volunteer PE teachers of local organizing committee : “Ultimate is growing very very quickly! It will became an Olympic sport… When? Perhaps, that depends on the success of your event! We are being watched… Thank you so much for working with the UNSS!”
